Admission Fees

$4.00 per adult
$2.00 per child (ages 6-18)
5 & under free

PLEASE NOTE:
A State Park Motor Vehicle Permit is required to enter
the Leelanau State Park. The fee is $6.00 for Michigan residents, and $8.00 for non-Michigan residents.
The Annual State Park Motor Vehicle Permits may be purchased through the Michigan DNR or the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum.

 
 

 

Location & Directions

The Grand Traverse Lighthouse is located in northern Michigan
at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, 9 miles north of Northport,
and inside the Leelanau State Park.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN:
- Head west out of Traverse City on E. Grandview Parkway (M-72).

- Stay straight to go onto West Bayshore Drive / M-22.

- Travel north on M-22 for almost 27 miles. You will travel through
the lakeshore towns of Suttons Bay and Omena.

- West Bayshore Drive / M-22 will become S. Shabwasung St. / M-201.

- In the Village of Northport, turn right on W. Main St. / M-201.

- Turn left on Waukazoo St. / M-201.

- Turn right on W. Nagonaba St. / M-201.

- Turn left on N. Mill St. / M-201.

- Stay straight to go onto E. Woolsey Lake Rd. / CR 640.

- CR 640 turns into CR 629.

- Follow CR 629 / N. Lighthouse Point Rd. to where it ends
at the Leelanau State Park entrance.
